The Tapo A200 Solar Panel is a high-efficiency, eco-friendly power solution designed to keep your Tapo battery-powered security cameras (Tapo C425, C420, and C400) operational year-round. Made with premium monocrystalline silicon cells, it delivers up to 4.5W of charging power, requiring only 30 minutes of standard sunlight daily (1000W/m², 25°C, AM1.5, 100 events triggered per day) to provide continuous power, eliminating the need for frequent battery replacements. The IP65 weatherproof rating ensures durability against rain, dust, and harsh outdoor conditions, making it suitable for all seasons with an operating temperature range of -20°C to +45°C (charging effective between 0°C to 45°C).

The panel features a 4m (13ft) micro-USB charging cable, offering flexible placement options to position the panel away from the camera for optimal sunlight exposure. A 360° adjustable mounting bracket allows precise angling to capture maximum sunlight, whether mounted on a wall, roof, or other surface. The Tapo A200 is compatible with Tapo C425, C420, and C400 battery-powered cameras, with a one-panel-to-one-camera connection limit. Note that due to the unique magnetic base of the Tapo C425, the panel supports detached installation only for this model. The setup is straightforward, with included mounting screws, anchors, template, and waterproof gaskets ensuring easy installation. The panel is praised for its reliable charging, weather resistance, and flexibility, though actual charging performance may vary based on location, weather, and environmental factors. More Tapo camera models may be supported in the future, as per TP-Link’s roadmap.
